Funny ’cause… her mom arrived in Seoul. I just want to say – her case has been shockingly addicting for the Korean entertainment world, and as far as I know, unprecedented. I want to stop reporting about her, but I can’t. It’s like crack. I just want to know what happens next!
Although, it looks like they’re just going to kill her off.
It’s YOON SANG HYUN!
The actor who portrayed an over-the-top Hallyu star (before Cha Seung Won, natch) is the “big Hallyu star” to costar alongside Choi Ji Woo in her upcoming drama Can’t Lose. He will play her lawyer husband who becomes her ex-husband.
Whoa! I don’t know if I’m happy about this or not. I personally love Yoon when he’s being over the top but in a comic way. I don’t think that’s the tone this drama is going for, but wouldn’t it be funny to see Choi Ji Woo act more carefree and loose – kind of like how she is in 2 Days 1 Night? I mean, that would make this lawyer-divorce drama a little more fun to watch.
Spy seduces spy – and gets rejected for a fridge!
That’s the plot of the new CF for LG Dios smart refrigerator, starring new spokespeople Jung Woo Sung and Kim Tae Hee. OK, maybe not really – but Jung is trying to seduce Kim, and she’s rejecting him ’cause he’s taken she likes the fridge better. CF below!
Gahhhh! It’s so crazy! Not that I’m complaining about the frenzy because I do love the series. I just don’t love it THAAAAAT much, and I DO want to try and move on. If I go through that funky phase that I did with You’re Beautiful, then it means that I wouldn’t be able to move on for another three months. And that’s just too long.
Aside from the special episode (which was awesome solely for Yoon Sang Hyun and finding out which scenes the actors were really sleeping in), the production team has announced that they will be holding two more special episodes on Lunar New Year. Lunar New Year falls on February 3rd this year, and the special episodes will air on February 4. It will be the “Secret Garden Special Edition,” which, if it’s another special like the Secret Garden Special, I’m gonna bust some karate chops on the team – I don’t care if Hyun Bin is going to the military, I will beat him down first.
The end is here!!!!! And it’s not even 2012 yet.
Let me preface the review with this: I loved City Hall. I also liked the ending to City Hall.
I think you all should know where I’m going with this…
I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not (although I’m not sure how you can’t notice,) but there’s been a crazy short hair phenomenon that I’m not sure is the trend for 2011 dramas or what.
The whole Short Hair Wave is not new – celebs have all been turning to short hair for that new “fresh” look because it’s the easiest way to have a makeover without plastic surgery. Har har. But lately, I’ve noticed that a lot of Korean actresses have been sporting short hair for their roles. It’s not new, but it’s more apparent now that a lot of those pixie-haired actresses are in back-to-back dramas.
Secret Garden will be holding a concert featuring songs from the OST next weekend. Baek Ji Young, 4Men, Yoon Sang Hyun, and Hyun Bin will all appear at the concert (yes – Hyun Bin’s got a song to sing). The OST has proved popular, selling thousands of copies. Footage from the concert will also be used in the Sunday night finale. Kinda like what You’re Beautiful did…which makes me wonder if Oska will make a love proclamation to Seul at the end of the night. Or maybe to Joo Won…
I find it insanely hilarious that one comment on dramabeans can spark countless of questions – such as the wondering of whether I will be recapping ATHENA. I laugh. It definitely brightened up my day. Nevertheless – of course I watched it. Raw. And goodness gracious it’s so exciting! I hope my excitement didn’t blind my viewing of it, so I will need to watch episode 2 to figure it out. Until then…wheee!
In a bit of meta (I guess), Yoon Sang Hyun will be releasing his first full length Japanese album next year on February 16. Much like his character in Secret Garden, who is trying to release an album but is getting riddled with plagiarism controversies. Let’s hope Yoon’s real album doesn’t have those problems. For Hallyu stars, I guess life must imitate art at some point… (and yes, I refer to Choi Ji Woo‘s last drama A Star’s Lover).
