Poseidon Press Conference

The cast of Poseidon is here! And so are the posters. Poseidon follows a Coast Guard investigative unit as they solve maritime crimes. Hm – like NCIS?!

I definitely don’t like the posters. It looks like it’s ripping off of Athena too much, and the poster of the officers all lined up reminds me so much of Hong Kong dramas from my youth. I don’t know why, but it doesn’t make me that much more keen on watching the drama.

Then again, if it ends up being like NCIS…………….. It seems Lee Sung Jae’s character joins the investigative unit in an attempt to locate his wife’s killer too.

Pictures below! Lee Si Young brightens up the mostly male cast, fielding off comparisons to Ha Ji Won, and she’s the only one in a nude-and-black outfit. Everyone chose boring, somber colors for the press conference.

Well if we can’t get them in a drama together, a photo shoot works too! Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye pose pretty for Codes Combine’s Haiker 2011 Fall-Winter Line. Jang has been modeling for them since last year, but Park has recently teamed up with him.

OK – I need photos of them together stat!

Kim Hyung Min! The wonderful hottie Duk Soo in I Need Romance is TAKEN! HE’S OFF THE MARKET!

And sadly, not because of me. *cries*

Kim Hyung Min is actually in a relationship with his Mom is Pretty Too costar Kim Bin Woo. Kim Bin Woo is actually a year older than him, being 29 (or 30 in Korean years) and Kim Hyung Min is 28 (or 29 in Korean years). Goddammit. They’ve been dating for about 6 months now.

Duk Soo-ssi! You are totally breaking Hyun Joo’s heart right now! How dare you!?

Countdown to 2011

Kim Tae Hee: So, what do you think of 2011?

Happy New Year to all!

It’s been a crazy year in 2010, and I’m really glad that it was. I’m looking forward to 2011 and the dramas to come. There will be My Princess (starring the two actors whom I think have the looks but not the depth in acting skill), Dream High (which might work out, but I’m actually looking forward to What’s Up more – if it ever airs), Sign (Hmmm… sounds like an underrated drama in the works), The Duo (fantasy sageuk anyone?), City Hunter (I actually wrote City Hunger at first – which could be an interesting drama in itself, but anyways…), Poseidon, Faith (if it ever gets a lead…), and The Musical (I think the trend for 2011 is to do a lot of musicals).

Hmm… sounds like a good year to catch up on old dramas!

Hehe – I sound cynical, but honestly, not a single drama has really caught my eye with this line up. I think 2010 was an awesome year, because there was a huge spectrum of good, bad, and the middlers. I wonder if 2011 will be the same…

Relive the Gumiho magic here! Hoi-hoi!

As if Taecyeon weren’t enough, Woo Young from 2PM and miss A’s Suzy will be joining the cast of Dream High as an overseas dancer and an aspiring singer respectively. Suzy is also the “prettiest girl” at school. Sigh* I don’t know how I feel about all these boy/girl idols going on to a drama. Just because they sing doesn’t mean they’re talented enough to act – especially since I feel that most girl/boy groups are “manufactured” nowadays, if you know what I mean. But miss A seems to be quite the hot band nowadays – I keep hearing about them.

Not to be outdoneU-Know Yunho is cast as Oh Yoon Jae, a special forces soldier for the National Maritime Police Academy in Poseidon, costarring Eric Mun. Tryin’ to prove he’s got more acting skills after his sad flop Heading to the Ground.
