A Year in Review: KDrama Watching in 2010

I debated for a while on whether I should write up this post. I mean, come on – every other Kdrama blogging site is doing one. Or, the ones I read do. I also admittedly have skimmed through a lot. Yes. Skim.

I have to say that 2010 was a big year for me in terms of dramas. I have never worked so closely with dramas before, and recapping is a pure joy. As I was compiling the list, I realized that I saw more dramas than I ever have in my entire life. Some were not to completion, and some were fleeting. But I included them in the list because I get to explain why I didn’t continue a certain drama. I also realized that I watched a LOT of SBS dramas. I also saw a lot of dramas that were not made or released in 2010, but more like catching up.

So here goes, a review of dramas I saw that came out in 2010 – the good, the meh, and the bad.

News Bits: 5/2/10 Edition

Jang Dong Gun is sure to take up the news reels today… but speaking of him, Daesung from Big Bang revealed on Haha Mong Show that he had hoped he would look like Jang Dong Gun after plastic surgery. Daesung was in an accident last summer that required him to get corrective cosmetic surgery. Buuuuuuuuut even with pictures, Daesung was disappointed with how his eyes, nose and mouth came out. Haha – dream on dude, no one can beat Jang Dong Gun =D

Behind the Scenes with OML, PP, PT

There is no way I can pass up an opportunity to put up a cute kid’s photos here. There is also no way I can miss the opportunity to see Yoon Eun Hye‘s pretty face here too. And there is no way I can’t report about the other two and not about Prosecutor Princess!

Oh! My Lady – Episode 1-2 Review

Oh My Lady was not really a drama on my radar, but I watched it since I was curious – it’s supposed to be a drama version of the movie Speedy Scandal. What’s interesting is that it’s not just one little kid – but two! And they’re not all passed off as Cha Tae Hyun’s progeny. One is Choi Si Won’s, and the other is Chae Rim’s – thus throwing two single parents under the same roof.

News Bits: 3/21/10 Edition

Edison Chen is announcing his comeback. (I laff.) After the infamous scandal where compromising photos of him with famous female celebrities were leaked, he escaped Hong Kong a couple of years ago. (If you haven’t heard of this scandal or even made oblique references to him in a joke, you must be living under a rock.) Now he will be working on a new album and hopefully star in a few films. He will also be based mostly in Taiwan. (I laff again.)
