There are so many things wrong with this album cover, and only one thing right. (In my opinion, of course.)
Let’s start with the bad.
There are so many things wrong with this album cover, and only one thing right. (In my opinion, of course.)
Let’s start with the bad.
Isn’t he cute? I have no real reason to post this, other than 1) hey! Jung Gyu Woon is out of the hospital! 2) he’s in a suit! and 3) he’s making funny faces! Ah – can’t wait to watch the episode tonight.
As if it weren’t enough to have Eun Jung on King Geunchogo, the production also hired her group member Qri to play the spunky princess Yeojin. Eun Jung’s husband will be portrayed by Supernova’s Geonil. I guess the whole second generation will now be overrun with idol stars, eh?
This isn’t Qri’s first time on a historical drama – she played Young Mo in Queen Seon Deok, the young wife of Kim Yushin (Uhm Tae Woong). That series I tried summarizing and failed miserably – I haven’t been able to finish because it’s so long! But honestly, all that happened was Queen Seon Deok would have a plan; it would be usurped by Mishil; Bidam and Yushin would do their best to reverse it; Seon Deok wins. If there was a war, betrayals would run amok as everyone’s double crossing each other.

Relive the Gumiho magic here! Hoi-hoi!
As if Taecyeon weren’t enough, Woo Young from 2PM and miss A’s Suzy will be joining the cast of Dream High as an overseas dancer and an aspiring singer respectively. Suzy is also the “prettiest girl” at school. Sigh* I don’t know how I feel about all these boy/girl idols going on to a drama. Just because they sing doesn’t mean they’re talented enough to act – especially since I feel that most girl/boy groups are “manufactured” nowadays, if you know what I mean. But miss A seems to be quite the hot band nowadays – I keep hearing about them.
Not to be outdone – U-Know Yunho is cast as Oh Yoon Jae, a special forces soldier for the National Maritime Police Academy in Poseidon, costarring Eric Mun. Tryin’ to prove he’s got more acting skills after his sad flop Heading to the Ground.

It’s nearly the end of October! I feel like just a few posts ago I was like, “It’s the start of October!” Weird…
Anyways – I think this news bits edition will focus on singers-turned-idol-actors. To start, Eric Mun of ShinHwa is now out of the army! He is one of the ones who entered late in age, since an accident in 2006 led him to enter the army in 2008. He will begin filming the new drama Poseidon. Say hi!
Another Korean artist suicide.
Yu Ju (real name Lee Hye Rin) was a singer and a former racing model. She committed suicide a few days ago due to depression at the age of 25. She was once part of the girl group SSEN back in 2008 but after one album, they never got any further. Kind of a shame really – I wonder if these celebs know that they become more famous after their death than before. I have never heard of her until today. This is a horrible trend…
Playful Kiss…*sigh. I think it’s a bit obvious why it got low ratings in the beginning, but it’s also still quite entertaining. Episode 2 was waaaaaay better than episode 1, so let’s hope that it can only improve from there.
Spoilers will show up in this post!

Bae Soo Bin is poised to become a big star in Japan. Or at least trying to. His previous dramas Shining Inheritance and Dong Yi have been shown in Japan, thus making his face more visible to Japanese viewers. Now, Angel’s Temptation is also going to start airing in November. While that drama is not the greatest, it is his leading role. Wonder if he’ll go hold a fan meeting in Japan some time this year…
T.O.P. and Lee Mi Sook in a photoshoot together?! And a sexy one at that – it blows my mind how young Lee Mi Sook looks – even though she’s fifty. And T.O.P. really pulls off the whole young boy-toy look with sincerity; the photo spread doesn’t look too jokey and too ridiculous.
This video merits a post all to its own (instead of being stuck in one of my ‘News Bits’). It’s so awesome that I think I’ll really watch this series. Like – REALLY watch it. There’s so many funny moments (thanks to Jung So Min‘s acting) and I’m convinced that Kim Hyun Joong – given the right role – can help carry this drama.
The real teaser trailer starts around 0:55.
UPDATE: Another teaser trailer after the jump.
