Lee Jia Attends Script Reading and Kim Bum Frolicks

Lee Jia attended a script reading of her new drama Me Too, Flower, once known as Return of the Queen.

The script reading was held at MBC’s Ilsan Dream Tower and included Kim Jae Won and Han Go Eun (A Man Called God). No disguise – however short her ponytail or her cap – could completely disguise her. The reading, which went from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, reportedly went by smoothly. And by smoothly, of course I also mean that her scandal and her costars’ possible preconceptions about her didn’t affect the atmosphere.

News flash! Yoo Ji Tae and girlfriend Kim Hyo Jin are to get married!

They’ve set the date for December 2. They’ve been dating for 5 years now (whooo freakin’ long!), and met on the set of a photo shoot in 2003. They were friends until they announced their relationship back in May 2007.

It’s good news after news of Yoo Ji Tae’s feature-length directorial debut came out. Yoo is currently working on a screenplay about a female migrant laborer, which I think would be interesting as there are plenty of immigrant workers in Korea. While “migrant” does not necessarily mean “immigrant,” I think it would be interesting if the film was about someone who’s not natively from Korea. Anyways – he’s already directed four short films, but this will be his first feature-length film.

Kim Hyung Min! The wonderful hottie Duk Soo in I Need Romance is TAKEN! HE’S OFF THE MARKET!

Kim Hyung Min is actually in a relationship with his Mom is Pretty Too costar Kim Bin Woo. Kim Bin Woo is actually a year older than him, being 29 (or 30 in Korean years) and Kim Hyung Min is 28 (or 29 in Korean years). Goddammit. They’ve been dating for about 6 months now.

News Bits: 6/28/11 Edition

Well well now. When one couple ends, another blossoms! Goo Hara (from girl group KARA and currently in City Hunter) and BEAST’s Yong Joon Hyung are officially dating. (The guys have similar names too…) Photos of the two revealed them holding hands, and so their agencies released a statement confirming their coupledom. Congratulations to the two! It’ll be young puppy love. I don’t think it’ll last, but it’s nice to see these overworked pop idols take some time to be “normal” and date.

Jung Woo Sung Escapes to Japan

If this weren’t the perfect timing…

Jung Woo Sung was announced to star in a Fuji TV drama called “Good Life” with Takashi Sorimachi about a month ago, but then suddenly, he became enveloped in a maelstrom of chaos when he became “the third wheel” to the Lee Jia and Seo Taiji scandal.

Now he’s in Japan, just a few hundred miles from all the controversy and “totally focused” on his career. Isn’t he lucky to have something to escape to? I mean, now, he can simply go off and act, wait for the media frenzy to die down a bit, and come back with a new drama to promote.

He’ll be there for two weeks.

Rumor Mill: The Scandal Continues with Lee Jia and Seo Taiji

I don’t know how much crazier the rumors keep going, and the scandal keep building, but it’s not going to die down. Not until Lee Jia and Seo Taiji settle in court at least. And not until everyone knows what the hell Jung Woo Sung is going to do with his lady-friend.

I last wrote a post about this, but I’ll keep this update to a short one. Frankly, I’m not too thrilled about either of their actions. I’m also amazed to find that Lee did a lot of things in the past that have now come to bite her in the ass. She truly has gall, that one, and though it’s pitiable that she’s the one taking most of the heat, she’s also kind of deserved it after all the actions she did.

After all, she pretty much just showed up from nowhere and costarred with Bae Yong Joon in what could have been considered the epic drama, The Legend.

SCANDAL: Lee Jia and Seo Taiji’s Secret Marriage

I never thought there would be a secret marriage in Korean entertainment world. I thought Ronald Cheng and Charlene Choi‘s secret marriage was crazy, but now it’s Lee Jia and Seo Taiji. The actress and the rocker. Not to mention, Lee Jia is currently dating Jung Woo Sung.

This is like, (Brangelina + CharRon) x Epic Scrutiny.
