BoA will be releasing her sixth Korean album on August 5th. It will mark her ten-year anniversary since her music debut, and her return to Korea music scene after five years. (She is one away from matching the number of albums she released in Japan, having released 7 Japanese albums.) BoA will also be touring with Kangta, Yunho, Changmin, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, f(x), and TRAX on the ‘SMTOWN LIVE ’10 WORLD TOUR’, which starts in Seoul on August 21.

Dal Ja’s Spring – A Review

I LOVE THIS DRAMA!
Why I didn’t watch or know about it earlier, I’ll never know. But I’m glad I was told to check it out.
I can’t do a proper review of this drama because there was too much to love and too little space to put it. I could do an episode by episode analysis and it would bore everyone to bits. And so I’ll summarize it into lists.
News Bits: 5/28/10 Edition

Chae Rim is going to appear in the Chinese remake of All About Eve. Her role will be that of an ex-girlfriend of Jang Hyuk’s character. It’s a character that didn’t exist before, but was created specifically for her. It’s an homage to her, since All About Eve was one of her biggest hits. The drama has Jang Hyuk taking over Jang Dong Gun‘s role, and Chinese actresses Dan Zhu and Cheryl Yang taking over Chae Rim and Kim So Yeon‘s role.
Dal Ja’s Spring – First Impressions

I have to admit – I’m pretty behind if I’m watching a drama that’s three years old. But I kept seeing it referenced to in forums and it was recommended to me as well. So I gave it a try.
Dal Ja’s Spring is about a 33-year old Oh Dal Ja (played by Chae Rim, unrecognizable if you compare how she looked in All About Eve or Oh My Lady). She decided to focus on her career more than her love life, but when finally a guy who showed interest in her unceremoniously dumps her (without a spoken word or a call or a text or a Facebook message or a Tweet, mind you), she decides to take revenge – by hiring 26-year-old Kang Tae Bong (Lee Min Ki), who works for a dating service as a boyfriend-for-hire. But she also encounters Uhm Ki Joong (Chae Rim’s costar in Oh My Lady, Lee Hyun Woo), who is the kind of guy that’s perfect to bring home to your parents.
Kim Jae Wook even makes a brief appearance in this drama (which got me all excited for this drama even more). The story felt very typical – love contract, older woman with younger guy – kind of like: (Full House – celebrity status) + My Name is Kim Sam Soon + a dash of The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry.
The drama is written by the same person who did Hotelier.
Behind the Scenes with OML, PP, PT

There is no way I can pass up an opportunity to put up a cute kid’s photos here. There is also no way I can miss the opportunity to see Yoon Eun Hye‘s pretty face here too. And there is no way I can’t report about the other two and not about Prosecutor Princess!
BEWARE – spoilers may abound with these pictures, depending on how far you are in the series.
Oh! My Lady – Episode 1-2 Review

Oh My Lady was not really a drama on my radar, but I watched it since I was curious – it’s supposed to be a drama version of the movie Speedy Scandal. What’s interesting is that it’s not just one little kid – but two! And they’re not all passed off as Cha Tae Hyun’s progeny. One is Choi Si Won’s, and the other is Chae Rim’s – thus throwing two single parents under the same roof.
