Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye’s Ice Cream Date

Looks like our Heartstrings couple is going to go on a date! Or try to. Or not.

Whichever way it is, they end up at Baskin Robbins, which immediately brings back memories of when Jung Yong Hwa was watching over Park Shin Hye by guiding her through the streets and telling her where to go for food or clothes or dessert in You’re Beautiful. That was one of the sweetest scenes with the two of them together. I think I need to rewatch that series just to watch the two of them… because honestly back then Jang Geun Suk took up too much of my attention to really pay proper attention to Jung.

News Bits: 7/31/11 Edition

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY POTTER! And J.K. Rowling. Hee.

Nevertheless, I’m super pissed off today. Why? Because I TOTALLY missed the first day of registration for Pottermore!!! Last night I already could not access the site due to a wave of people logging in and crashing the servers. What the hell… and now today, day 1 of registration is closed. Must I go by Greenwich mean time to log on? I think I’ll be refreshing every five minutes for it.

Heh. I think I know understand that feeling when people constantly say they’re refreshing a page like mad for some drama update.

Anyways… moving on…

A Spate of Car Accidents Plague Actors

Really, almost every other day, someone’s had a car accident. I’m sure the current weather in Korea isn’t helping, as it is the rainy season, and even if you drive carefully, you can still end up skidding. But still…can we get no-skid tires and alert drivers for these people!?

Yoo Seung Ho is the latest actor to get in a car accident.

Park Shin Hye returns after her car accident with a new perm, showing off her new curls in a recent tweet. She had requested her “Lee Gyu Won” look, which her stylist then gave her, but now all she has to worry about is if her curls will fall apart in Korea’s current wet weather. Because she looks oh-so-cute, her photo has sent netizens a-buzzing about loving her hairstyle. Personally? I don’t even get why this made it on the news…and look, here I am writing about it! Heh.

I Need Romance: Episode 14

Hm – interesting progress in the drama. I actually appreciate the ending of this episode.

I don’t know what will happen for the last week (!!!) as I don’t watch previews. Ever. For any drama.

Birdie Buddy Press Conference

This drama is really happening!

Birdie Buddy held its press conference today for its premiere on August 8 on tvN. I’m so glad this series is finally going to air. I have bigger hopes for this one than the disastrous Paradise Farm. Below are some pictures from the press conference, which includes UEE, Lee Yong Woo, Lee Da Hee, Kim Jong Jin, and Lee Byung Joon. The green posters in the background are just so refreshing… and I’m loving Lee Da Hee’s pantsuit!

I Need Romance: Episode 13

YAY! I got my wish – more Seo Yeon and Hyun Joo action! Yay! I mean it literally too – they got some action!

Mind you – this story is a little bit off in chronological order, but mainly because I try to go from one gal’s storyline to the next.

News Bits: 7/25/11 Edition

Oh the most hilarious photoshop ever!

Park Shi Yeon, Nam Gyu Ri, and Park Jin Hee all participated in a photo shoot for Marie Claire Korea, dressed in bathrobes in a hotel tub. Thing is, if you look carefully, Park Shi Yeon’s legs are gone!! It doesn’t even look plausible that Park is standing behind the tub, as it looks to be quite connected to the wall. (Then again, it could be just the angle and she could be standing behind it!)

Either way – funny photoshop indeed!

Spy Myung Wol: First Impressions

This particular first impressions post will cover the first four episodes of Spy Myung Wol. Sometimes I do only 1 episode, sometimes I do it after 4, and it’s really just based on how I saw the drama. The Princess’ Man wasn’t compelling enough for me to launch into Episode 2 right away, whereas for Spy Myung Wol, I actually saw episodes 3 and 4 before I saw 1 and 2.

I think watching it out of order did not help me appreciate this drama any more. However, now that I’ve seen all the episodes, things are making sense now.

News Bits: 7/24/11 Edition

Guess who’s back on set!?

Park Shin Hye was recently given the OK from doctors to return to set after being in a car accident and requiring re-hospitalization on Wednesday. She is expected to be on set during the weekend, and filming can resume. The eighth episode will air this coming Wednesday.
