49 Days Cast in InStyle

The cast of 49 Days gathered for a small shoot for InStyle Korea, complete with captions (roughly translated). First up, Lee Yo Won!

“What style to wear today for the shoot as I look at the script?” says 49 Days actress Lee Yo Won (playing Song Yi Kyung).

When another soul possessed my body I was thrown into chaos. What did I say? That’s my role in the drama. One body, two souls – I have to constantly change my hairstyle and clothing but it’s fun. Although, having another soul enter your body is really scary.

News Bits: 3/28/11 Edition

Hi-ho! Isn’t Park Shin Hye studious?! That’s her studying the gayageum, a stringed traditional Korean instrument that bears a similarity to the Chinese guzheng. Her character in the upcoming drama Festival majors in the gayageum and only knows about traditional music – a complete opposite of Jung Yong Hwa’s character, who majors in modern music and is a band member.

[Update!] Birdie Buddy Trailer Online!

UPDATE: DramaFever just released a fully subbed version of the trailer. Check it out here!

I’ll be damned if this drama cannot get a freakin’ broadcaster.

I WANT TO WATCH THIS DRAMA! It’s got a good mix of the whimsy and the serious stuff. It’s got high caliber actors in the supporting roles, and it just looks awesome, period. It doesn’t hurt that the golf ball looks like the Golden Snitch.

I enjoy stories where the underdog has to go through some sort of transformation and/or training to become the best. Everyone has their own Yoda, and I love that UEE’s just had to be an old white guy living in the outskirts of Korean countryside.

It’s a long trailer, but so damn worth it! I unfortunately do feel that I’ve watched the entire series though, but I’d like to get to know the drama better too, and just watch it.

Heaven’s Postman: A Review

I quite enjoyed the film “Heaven’s Postman” – it had a nice quiet touch to it. At times slow, it was still quite interesting to watch. Plus, I guess I’m all about death and crossing the boundary between heaven and earth nowadays. *cough*49 Days*cough*

I watched it on DramaFever out of curiosity over what made this movie so popular.

Sucker Punch: A Review

There are two Asian Americans in this film! Aaaand that’s all that really ties this movie to my blog. Mwahaha.

I really looked forward to this film. I really really did. I’m an OK fan of ”300″ (I always watch it in parts, never fully) and I did like “Watchmen” (still prefer the graphic novel but it was a decent movie), so I was looking forward to “Sucker Punch.” Plus – I definitely like stylized films.

But again, as I said, I looked forward to the film. That doesn’t mean it was good.

Jung Joon Ho and Lee Ha Jung Wedding Photos

Queen of ReversalsJung Joon Ho is getting married to anchorwoman Lee Ha Jung on the 25th of March (which is today in Korea, or tomorrow in US). They shot a series of wedding photos at Macau’s Venetian Hotel.

I have to say my favorite photo is the one above – coming out of a snazzy modern car wearing hanbok? Awesome.

Yoo In Na and Yoon Kye Sang in Discovery of Affection

That title pretty much says it.

Yoo In Na and Yoon Kye Sang (whee!) have both joined the cast of Discovery of Affection alongside Gong Hyo Jin and Cha Seung Won. Yoon Kye Sang plays Yoon Pil Joo, a man with no interest in celebrities or the entertainment world Yoo In Na plays Kang Seri, a girl group co-member with Gong Hyo Jin and a love interest of Cha Seung Won’s. Of course, we know the ultimate pairing is Gong and Cha, so Yoo is gonna lose out. Then again, I don’t think Yoo and Cha look very good together…

I’m not entirely sure who is the “has-been actor” and the “current top star”, but I hope Cha is the has-been and Gong is the “hot new thing” because otherwise, it’d just be weird… Besides, I’d love to see Cha be a little bitter and a little diva-ish.

I can dream right?

The drama airs on MBC in April.
