Jang Geun Suk was named as one of the celebrity spokesperson to help promote the 2010-2012 Visit Korea campaign. He was named Seoul’s publicity ambassador earlier in the year, but now his role has been expanded to help promote tourism in Korea. Wise choice – considering he’s one of the biggest stars in Asia and in foreign countries. I know I’d jump on a plane to Seoul if I saw him in an ad for Korea.
Super Junior released their new single after “BONAMANA”, titled “No Other.” It has a nice lyrical, soothing sound to it. Video is after the jump.
Speaking of which – Hangeng just might become an ex-Super Junior – temporarily? For now, he’ll be releasing a solo Mandarin album and hold a concert in Beijing in July.
Yamapi is also releasing his solo single on July 28. There will be two limited edition versions and one regular version of his album. One limited edition version will have a DVD featuring his 2009 concert, and the other version will have a bonus track, photo, and a booklet. The regular version will have bonus tracks that neither of the other two versions have. (Wow – money making strategies galore there…)
Lee Da Hae has been a big star on the small screen for quite a while now. With the film “String Song,” a historical movie based on a novel, she will make her big screen debut as Ara. The film follows a court musician (played by Daisy‘s Lee Sung Jae) and his apprentice/disciple (played by Speedy Scandal‘s cutie Wang Seok Hyun) as they go around a war-ridden country. The film is set to start production this summer, and will be released in 2011.
